The military institution is continuing modernising its methods of training and equipping, a military officer said on Monday.
The Defence Commission at the Parliament held a conference on “Training in the National Army”. At this occasion, Major Fayçal Merdassi said: “the post 2005 era has been devoted to modernise training methods, through equipping the pedagogic system with modern scientific tools and competent human means, to meet the expected goals.” In this regard, Major Merdassi specified that this new vision prompted the rebirth of the Nation’s Cadet Academy. Furthermore, the Army Institution has launched a wide reform programme aiming at improving the level of human resources via competent recruits and efficient syllabus, in addition to the incorporation new units, including commandment and informatics, said Merdassi. This reform aims at coping with new training requirements, and anticipating trans-border criminal networks, including terrorism, smuggling and illegal migration, he concluded.
